Rainbow Six: Tactics is now official. Ubisoft revealed the new Tom Clancy tactical game at Gamescom 2026. Check out the trailer below.
The latest Rainbow Six game was revealed by Ubisoft early in the Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live presentation. A trailer showed off the gameplay, which is, of course, akin to titles like XCOM.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Tactics is a single-player tactical game set in the Rainbow Six universe. Command elite operators in tense turn-based battles, breach through destructible environments, and outsmart enemies with synchronized assaults. Upgrade your HQ between missions to unlock new skills, new gear, and gather clues to unravel a global conspiracy.

Rainbow Six: Tactics Is Ubisoft’s New Tactical Game

This title, which is expected to be released in 2027, is the first console Rainbow Six title since 2022’s Rainbow Six Extraction.
2026 has been turbulent for Ubisoft. Multiple projects have been canceled, and several employees have been laid off, along with studio closures.
Now, one of its premier franchises takes the spotlight and can potentially generate some positive buzz for the company.
Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any updates as more information becomes available.
