Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions currently has its biggest ongoing playtest to date, with the introduction of new gamemodes, skins, and more.
Insider Gaming has been sent several hours of the game under the condition the footage doesn’t go public and sources remain anonymous – With the gameplay loop being very similar to Rocket League. Granted, if you’re a fan of Harry Potter or have at least seen one or two movies, you might already be aware that Quidditch doesn’t exactly give the developers a lot of creative freedom for a multiplayer gamemode. But the game itself does appear to be fluid, fast-paced, and have a skill-gap that players could come to enjoy.
However, looking at the gameplay itself – It does seem rather fun. The multiplayer offering is what you’d come to expect in this day and age from a free-to-play title (although it’s not been confirmed if the game is paid or not). Skins, emotes, a Battle Pass, and more are all present.
Earlier this year, gameplay footage of Quidditch Champions leaked online, which revealed playable characters including the likes of Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley, and more.
While that gameplay is still somewhat relevant, it appears that the game has seen a fairly big overhaul. Although we have yet to receive an official release date from Unbroken Studios, we wouldn’t be surprised if the game releases within the next six months judging by how complete the game is.
