PUBG Mobile Takes on Vampire Theme With New 4.6 Update

PUBG Mobile has adopted a bloodthirsty vampire theme for the foreseeable future as the game’s 4.6 update hits the market. It comes hand-in-hand with a new limited-time themed mode called ‘Midnight Hunters’, which includes PvE enemies, new challenges, and fresh, themed item sets.

As one of the world’s most popular mobile games, PUBG Mobile enjoys a user base that numbers in the tens of millions, all of whom are super excited when content updates like this hit their favorite free-to-play shooter. Find out below what the 4.6 update means for PUBG Mobile.

PUBG Mobile’s Midnight Hunters – Hunt or Be Hunted

The heart of the PUBG Mobile 4.6 update is the new Midnight Hunters content drop. This pits hunters against vampires in a faction battle of sorts, with the game’s most recognizable districts being transformed with an eerie, horror-themed takeover. The ‘Vampire Hunter Guild’ has new, unique locations across the map, which adds a little meat to the update’s lore.

New PvE-focused enemies are making their way into PUBG Mobile with this update, too:

  • Bloodwalkers (melee-focused)
  • Nightbat (ranged)
  • Vampire Elder (mini boss)

And there are, of course, elite variants of these enemies, too. They have unique finisher animations, amazing takedowns, and protective shields that make them even more challenging than the average enemies you’ll find in the Midnight Hunters drop.

But it’s not just the enemies that are getting vampire-like powers in this update.

As a player, you can find Twilight Bat Wings to transform yourself into an ‘energy bat’, swooping around the map with reckless abandon. If you find the Silvermoon Chain, you can use it to attack and defend, while also using it to more rapidly traverse the map.

There’s also a Blood Crystal Barrier that you can use to seal windows, and there are a bunch of new medical items to keep you fighting against the supernatural forces of Midnight Hunters.

Beyond that, Ocean Odyssey is coming back on September 30, and there are various collaborations lined up for the 4.6 update roadmap, including one with Lincoln, another with One-Punch Man, and another with B.Duck.

Classic Mode and Arena Mode have been tweaked massively in 4.6, and there’s so much Halloween content on the horizon: scenery, themed items, a limited-time Ghost Ship event, and new Brainrot content.
