Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will introduce a new Epilogue for The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero on January 11th, 2024. It will become available to play at 14:00 UTC.
However, players will need to complete different milestones to access the epilogue. First, you’ll need to finish a postgame event in the base game. Then, you’ll also need to complete the main stories in The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.
Although the devs did not confirm concrete details about the Epilogue’s content, they did announce it with a brief cinematic teaser. The footage hints at some of the characters and Pokémon that fans can expect to join Kitakami.
Fans were pleased that the new Epilogue will feature returning characters from the base game, such as Nemona.
Some have hoped that today’s announcement implies even more content could added later on. There are certainly still plenty of narrative threads to address.
But it is an epilogue, and the addition of Nemona and other familiar characters suggests that everything will be tidily wrapped up. If not, then the next generation of games could address those loose ends.
Today’s teaser was only a cinematic, but it does mention that you will be playing the Epilogue. So, it shouldn’t be a small cinematic farewell.
The Epilogue for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a welcome surprise for fans of the new gen, arriving fairly soon after the latest DLC.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has been a divisive generation among fans. Some players didn’t enjoy the visuals or storyline, among other things.
But this Epilogue marks an impressive pace for the core game series. It might signal that the devs will offer the same attention to future games in the series.

The issues around performance are famous for this game unfortunately and we know a lot of people were not happy with that but where are you coming from with this “people were unhappy with the story elements” because I’ve heard nothing but praise for the story elements in this game all round people are enjoying the smaller more succinct stories that feel more well told than the larger stories in Prior games
