Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC To Release In September

The Pokemon Company has announced that the first set of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC is set to release in September.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask releases on September 13 for Nintendo Switch. The news came alongside a new trailer during the latest Pokemon Presents on Tuesday.

In addition to the release date, a number of new Pokemon were revealed including an evolution of Applin called Dipplin as well as new legendary Pokemon Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti.

Part 2 of the DLC, The Indigo Disk, is still scheduled for Winter 2023, though no date was given. In that expansion, players will feature a new Elite Four to battle along with a new open area with several different biomes.

“In Part 2: The Indigo Disk, you’ll attend Blueberry Academy as an exchange student,” the Pokemon Company says. “You’ll discover a variety of biomes that are home to many different Pokémon, challenge fellow students in the BB League, and face off against their Elite Four. There are other new activities and ways to play in this extended adventure, too!”
