Nintendo Switch Gets Two Classic Pokemon Games Today

As part of its Pokemon Presents show on Tuesday morning, Nintendo revealed that two classic Pokemon games are available on Nintendo Switch starting today.

The first is available for all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers as Pokemon Trading Card Game comes to the Game Boy collection. The second game is the N64’s Pokemon Stadium 2 for those who subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online and the Expansion Pack.

Pokemon Trading Card Game was first launched for the Game Boy back in 1998 and was the first video game to feature playable cards instead of the traditional monster battles. Pokemon Stadium 2 launched in 2001 and features the first and second-generation Pokemon along with numerous mini-games and a trainer battle mode in a 3D environment.
