Pokémon Pokopia has seen a bunch of new additions land in the first part of the Expansion Pass, bringing Bubbly Basin into the mix, and the Windup Inkay is one of the many new items to collect.
Items in Pokémon Pokopia have a variety of uses and are often required to spawn specific Pokémon to befriend. While some are easy to obtain, others require a fair bit of hunting.
If you’re looking for a Windup Inkay in Pokopia, Insider Gaming is here to point you in the right direction.
Where to Find Windup Inkay in Pokémon Pokopia

The Windup Inkay toy is found in the depths of a large crevice in the middle of the Bubbly Basin location in Pokémon Pokopia.
Inside the dark ravine, keep an eye out on the right-hand side for a pile of sand hiding another corridor of a tunnel, which indicates there’s more to find.
Head inside the tunnel, and breakable rocks will appear on the right, which can be destroyed using Ditto’s Rock Smash ability, to uncover another hidden area.
Inside this area, a Pokéball on the floor contains a constructed Windup Inkay, which you can then use to spawn new Pokémon or decorate the environment.
What Does The Windup Inkay do in Pokémon Pokopia?
The Windup Inkay in Pokopia can be used as a toy to decorate the environment and increase the comfort level of your Pokémon friends, but it’s also used to summon a specific Pokémon.
One of the spawns for Marshtomp in Pokémon Pokopia is the Muddy Playtime habitat, which, alongside Muddy Water, Floating Logs, and a Towel Rack, requires a Windup Inkay to create it.
Marshtomp is not the only Pokémon that spawns in the Muddy Playtime habitat, however, as, unsurprisingly, Inkay can also appear. Additionally, the Muddy Playtime habitat can be used to house Barboach, though this Pokémon first appears in story progression.
While you can find a Windup Inkay exploring Bubbly Basin in Pokémon Pokopia, the crafting recipe can also be purchased at the Pokémon Center.
