The Pokémon TCG is in the midst of a major bubble that doesn’t look set to disappear anytime soon, with the Black Bolt and White Flare sets likely to demand plenty of attention. We’re here to help with a breakdown of all the products and their release dates.

With the Black Bolt and White Flare being the first English-language set to release as a dual set, there are double the number of products coming in the TCG launch.
The line-up won’t raise too many eyebrows, with the same sort of products we’ve come to expect from any set launch, major decisions will have to be made on which line to choose from.

Will There be Black Bolt And White Flare Booster Boxes?
No, Black Bolt and White Flare products will not be available in Booster Boxes in the West. However, the Japanese version of the set is different.
Black Bolt and White Flare are classed as “high-class” sets in the Pokémon TCG, and these are always treated differently from standard sets. In the West, that means no Booster Boxes are available to purchase, and you won’t be able to purchase single packs over the counter at most stores.
The Japanese version of the set does have Booster Boxes available, although there are still differences from other sets, as the boxes will contain 20 Booster Packs compared to the 30 usually found.
If you’re wanting to get the most packs for a product, Elite Trainer Boxes contain the most single packs, and, usually, the Pokémon Center version will include an extra pack, along with an extra promo card featuring a stamp with the Pokémon Center logo.
Demand is expected to be high for this set, so don’t get sucked into the hype too early if you miss out on pre-orders as high-class sets are usually printed for a longer duration than standard sets.
