PlayStation State of Play Announced, Coming June 2

PlayStation State of Play is finally returning, and it will be hosted at the beginning of next month.

The last PlayStation State of Play event was back in February 2026, where players saw games like Saros, Marathon, Beast of Reincarnation, and more. Now, the next State of Play will feature one of the most anticipated games from Insomniac, Marvel’s Wolverine.

PlayStation’s State of Play Returns Soon, Featuring Marvel’s Wolverine

A new post on X by the official PlayStation account reveals that a new State of Play is being hosted on June 2, 2026. The event will feature an hour-long show and provide an extended look at Marvel’s Wolverine as its release date approaches. The event will also feature more announcements on other PS5 games. Interested readers can tune into the show at 2:00 PM PT/5:00 PM ET/11:00 PM CEST and 6:00 AM JST.

The last time Marvel’s Wolverine was showcased during a State of Play was in 2025, when we received an action-packed trailer but very little gameplay details. This time, players will expect a stronger focus on gameplay, with an in-depth look at the game’s systems, mechanics, and more. Additionally, it will be interesting to see what other surprises PlayStation has in store for us, such as new updates and game reveals. We’ll just have to wait until June 2 to find out.

In other news, an error on the PlayStation Store mentioned GTA 6’s price as 16p today. Additionally, in the wake of Microsoft making changes to Xbox Achievements, it seems like Sony could be about to do something for PlayStation Trophies. • Why that far away?!?! Hopefully another Dead Or Alive 7 update. Maybe Castlevania Lament Of Innocence remake shows up here too. That’s all I can think of everything else like Injustice 3 would be SGF. Unless Jump Cross Burst is real.
