100 Thieves claim final PGL Singapore Major spot as HOTU and Fnatic miss out
100 Thieves became the last team to qualify for the PGL Singapore Major after a tournament victory at the FiRe Last Chance 2026 event, defeating Wildcard 2-0 in the Grand Final.
That statement does not reflect how dramatic a day it was for 100T, Eternal Fire, HOTU, and Fnatic, as they all entered the day looking to secure the final few major spots in Europe.
Fnatic started the day with their fate in their hands, and looked on their way to the Major as they led 2-0 in the Grand Final of Stake Ranked Episode 5, with victory there giving them a Major ticket.
However, Eternal Fire punched back, putting off the reverse sweep to win the Grand Final 3-2 and securing a spot at the PGL Singapore Major.
HOTU’s moment came next, requiring victory at GLuck Moscow to make the Major. Victory there would have secured the final Major spot and eliminated 100T’s chances, but the HOTU roster was outfought and outfragged by Artem ‘ArtFr0st’ Kharitonov and his 1win roster as HOTU fell 0-2 in the event’s Grand Final.
That left 100 Thieves with an opportunity to take the final spot, but they needed an event win to do so. Their Grand Final opponent, Wildcard, had already guaranteed their place at the Major, so 100 Thieves were the only team playing with pressure.
100 Thieves pulled off an extremely composed victory over Wildcard, keeping their cool in overtime on Cache and dismantling Wildcard on Dust II to book their place in Singapore.
