Second Star Games has officially launched and announced that it owns the full gaming rights to Neverland, with its first game, Neverland: A Peter Pan Adventure.
One of Second Star Games’ Co-Founders is none other than Tom Stone, who previously worked on the LEGO games franchise as Managing Director at TT Games for almost 18 years.
The studio, which is located in Manchester, UK, will be “focused on the creation of captivating interactive experiences for young gamers and their families.”
In its official press release, it was announced that the deal with Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, which has developed the new world of Neverland, has granted Second Star Games a long-term, worldwide, exclusive license to create a suite of video games based on the IP.
Neverland: A Peter Pan Adventure will be the first in a “series” of video games based on the Neverland IP and Peter Pan, said Tom Stone in his LinkedIn post announcement.
“The studio is made up of world-class talent who have previously worked together on the hugely successful LEGO series of video games. We are incredibly excited to be building the definitive Neverland® gaming experience powered by imagination (and fairy dust!),” Stone said.
Details on what the game entails are limited, but more information will be announced soon. A first glimpse of what could be concept art for the game, featuring the crocodile Tick-Tock, can be seen on the studio’s social media banner.
