Payday 3 launches on September 21, but that doesn’t mean developer Starbreeze isn’t thinking about future DLC. In fact, they seem to have it pretty well thought out based on the roadmap for first-year updates to Payday 3.
Within the first year, Payday 3 will see the release of four DLC expansions collectively known as “The Bad Apple”. The first DLC expansion, known as Syntax Error, will be released in winter 2023. That will be followed up by Boys in Blue in spring 2024, The Land of the Free in summer 2024, and Fear and Greed in fall 2024.
There’s no specific information as to what each of the year one DLC packs will include, but it should be expected to be new weapons, quests, and maybe a new heister. That’s pure speculation, however.

What isn’t speculation is that in addition to the DLC packs, Payday 3 will feature additional content such as seasonal events, new characters, skill lines, enemies, weapons, and the post-launch update to Unreal Engine 5.
Payday 3 releases on September 21 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
