Palworld has been a massive sensation since its release on January 19. The game has sold over 6 million copies, is breaking Steam records, and continues to rise up charts. The problem for many, however, is that Palworld isn’t available on every platform, specifically PlayStation 5 (PS5).
Social media has been full of people asking for the game to come to PS5, so much so that the official FAQ even mentions the possibility of it happening down the line.
In a question about if it will be coming to the platform, developer Pocketpair said, “We don’t have plans for this at the moment, but will consider it during development!”
While it’s certainly not the answer PS5 owners who want to check out the game were hoping to hear, it has to be better than being told there’s no chance of it coming to the system.
What’s more, is that PlayStation’s Shuhei Yoshida was asked about helping get the game onto PS5. His response was as straightforward as they come, saying “Yes” while tagging PlayStation’s Jingwen Zhu who works for the company’s Partner Development.
With the popularity of Palworld, it’s clear that PlayStation has taken notice. It’s just about waiting to see what comes of it in the coming months.
