Fortnite Override adds Pac-Man Mecha Ghost mini-bosses, a Blinky Sprite companion, and themed islands, with Item Shop cosmetics dropping on September 19.
The latest season of Fortnite celebrates gaming icons of all kinds. Fortnite is already the only universe where you can have Bugs Bunny, Buzz Lightyear, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Stone Cold Steve Austin running around together with approval from all IP holders. Now, joining them, and recent additions such as Kingdom Hearts, will be one of the original gaming icons, Pac-Man.
Pac-Man Sidekick and Ghosts Join Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4
A press release from Bandai Namco, issued on September 17, announced the new wave of Pac-Man content arriving in this season of Fortnite. Right now, players can take on Mecha Ghost Mini Bosses, obtain a Sprite companion, and enlist the interactive Pac-Man Sidekick on their quests.
From September 19 to September 25, a limited-time Pac-Man Sidekick will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop, along with a collection of arcade cosmetics.
The PAC-MAN Sidekick serves as an invincible animated buddy that runs next to player characters during matches and features a Sidekick Emote, authentic arcade music jingles, and sound effects. The Item Shop collection also features the PAC-MAN Back Bling, which cycles from Cherry to Orange to Galaxian™ as players land eliminations, as well as the PAC-MAN Gloves Pickaxe, new Kicks footwear, and more.
Mini bosses and Sprites will be available until October 31.
