The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake has officially been announced during the June 9 Nintendo Direct. Coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2, the game is set to release later this year, 2026.
The game had long been rumored to be in development, with leaks dating back to March this year. Now, with its official confirmation, one of the best Zelda games, and arguably one of the best games of all time, is coming back better than ever.
More Ocarina Of Time Remake Details
We got a first glimpse of the Ocarina of Time art style, though little else was seen other than a new look at Link. Perhaps the most resounding aspect of the trailer was the Ocarina musical beats in the background, that’ll take you right back to 1998.
More will be shared later this year, but what matters most is that it’s set for a 2026 launch. When that proves to be is another question, though some leaks suggested closer to Christmas—we’ll have to wait and see.
