A report surfaced several weeks ago that Ninja Theory could be leaving XBOX as part of a company-wide shake-up. Unfortunately, it has now come to light that Ninja Theory has been hurt by big changes to XBOX and its overall structure.
Not long after Senua was revealed to the world for the first time, we learned that Ninja Theory was being closed days after revealing its new game. It was only a claim at the time, but those fears have materialized somewhat, and there’s good news and bad news.
XBOX Layoffs and Restructuring Affect Ninja Theory
The damning news came out that XBOX only revealed Senua to attract a Ninja Theory buyer.
We swiftly went from a celebration of Ninja Theory’s new game to the realization that it had effectively been put in the shop window.

Windows Central has learned that ‘Ninja Theory will be acquired by new publishers,’ and it’s part of a deal that aims to keep the team going:
‘As part of the cuts, Microsoft has reached deals with four studios to either go independent or join new management, saving them from closure.’
So, Ninja Theory will carry on in a fully operational capacity, but will no longer be under the XBOX and Microsoft umbrella.
Senua won’t release under the XBOX banner the way previous games have, it seems, but if you’re a fan, you should be able to play the sequel when it eventually releases on PlayStation, XBOX, and PC.
