Ninja Quits Marathon After An Hour Because The ‘AI is Hard’

In a new clip circulating on social media, we see Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, one of the most recognizable streamers in the world, quit on Marathon after just an hour of play. In the short video, Ninja dunks on a player running the Assassin Shell, then tries to loot them under the watchful eye of a high-tier UESC enemy.

In the ensuing chaos, Ninja is swatted down like a gnat and promptly dispatched, causing him to immediately quit the game and hit the desktop, professing his hatred for the game.

Did ARC Raiders Ruin Ninja?

For the last few months, Ninja has been obviously in love with ARC Raiders. He has dedicated countless hours to streaming and making content around the game, and, while it’s an extraction shooter, it’s very different from Marathon.

Fans have theorized that this is the leading reason behind his inability to ‘git gud’ at Marathon

Here’s the original clip that was uploaded to social media:

In the video, Ninja takes down a real player with relative ease, even though they hit the invisibility ability on their Assassin Runner. Seconds later, he’s on his back and screaming at the game as a bulky UESC commander storms into the room and blasts him seven ways to Sunday.

Ninja then stammers his way through anger, muttering, ‘Get me out, bro…’ as he hits the desktop with lightning speed.

What’s great is that Ninja doesn’t seem to want to play Marathon at all. He has complained about the game aplenty, stressed he ‘can’t stand it’, and his recent social feeds are full of nothing but ARC Raiders, Embark Studios’ extraction adventure game that dropped last October.

This was only the third time that Ninja has streamed Marathon, with the first occasions being when the server slam went live last week. Every time he has broadcast Marathon gameplay, he has either gone back to or come over from ARC Raiders. It’s never a good idea to mix chalk and cheese like that, is it?

How are you getting on with Marathon? Better than Ninja? Let us know on the Insider Gaming Discord server.

Comments

  • He and others see the game as trash and it seems Sony paid them off or just gave them codes for promotion. Marathon is not a get good game it’s just trash. Arc Raiders better he should go back to it. If he still plays this then he was paid off.
