RUINER 2 has received a new trailer. Now, the development team is touting new features coming to the long-awaited sequel.
RUINER 2 released its latest trailer, confirming that the game will feature co-op. The game expands on the top-down shooter action-RPG gameplay by adding three-player co-op.
“RUINER 2 evolves the fight, not the formula. The opponents are still savage. The crowd still closes in. The only way is still through. Stop killing, and you’re dead,” the Steam page says when describing the plot.
RUINER 2 Introduces Shell System
The Shell System is a key feature in RUINER 2. In single-player, players command up to three Shells, switching in real time to adapt their strategy and unlock Synergies. Synergies are abilities chained across Shells for powerful combos. In co-op, up to three players control their own Shells.
“We are massive ARPG fans, and RUINER 2 is the game we’ve always wanted to play,” said Marek Roefler, Game Director. “We built the Shell System because we love theory-crafting and finding broken combinations, but we hated being locked into a single character for a hundred hours. This game is for players who want to experiment, swap builds on the fly, and discover synergies that tear the screen apart.”
There’s currently no release date scheduled for RUINER 2. Insider Gaming will continue to provide the latest updates on the game as more information becomes available.
