A newly announced Marvel title has begun leaking online, revealing playable characters, voice lines, character models, and fresh gameplay details.
Known as Project Comet, the game is reportedly being developed by Scopely, the studio behind Marvel Strike Force, Monopoly GO, and Star Trek Fleet Command. The title appears to be another mobile-focused Marvel experience, this time built around replayable co-op missions and gacha mechanics.
More Project Comet Details
Outside of an initial reveal by industry insider Miller Ross on X earlier this month, very little was known about Project Comet. A closed playtest for iOS and Android users was scheduled for June, but details remained scarce.
That changed over the past few days, as leaker MultiverSusie on X shared a large collection of assets and information from the game, including character models, voice lines, and gameplay descriptions.
According to the leaks, Project Comet will feature gacha-style mechanics similar to Genshin Impact, allowing players to unlock and build teams of Marvel heroes and villains. The game is also said to draw inspiration from the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series, with replayable four-player co-op missions and higher difficulty options, presumably offering greater rewards.
The leaked roster includes fan-favourites such as Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine, alongside more niche characters like Elektra, Juggernaut, and Silver Samurai. Check out some of them below, including a snippet of gameplay:
Judging by the leaked UI, each character will have a host of usable abilities, and you’ll be able to activate them in the usual mobile-game manner by pressing them on-screen. It’s unclear whether the game will arrive on PC, with no mention of the platform as things stand.
Interestingly, several of the leaked character models bear a strong resemblance to their Marvel Rivals counterparts; that’s reportedly because some artists who worked on Marvel Rivals are also contributing to Project Comet.
There’s an incredible amount of leaks to pore through, so if you want a closer look, consider scrolling through MultiverSusie’s X account and investigating them for yourself. In the meantime, check out the character reveal trailer for Cyclops in Marvel Rivals—will he be playable in Project Comet?
