Wizards of the Coast has unveiled a new superdrop that introduces several all-new franchises to the world of Magic. It’s a Halloween-themed Secret Lair sweep that brings in the likes of Labyrinth, KPop Demon Hunters, and Marvel Zombies, which I think you’ll agree represents a pretty eclectic collection of brands.
Fans are especially excited about the new Labyrinth collections, which are three separate drops, each with a unique angle, leaning on Jim Henson’s universe to front-line this Secret Lair update.
Demon Hunters, Labyrinth, and Marvel, Oh My
Labyrinth is getting three drops in this Secret Lair Corn Maze superdrop, which frames it as the centrepiece of the update.
Fear Me, Love Me is all about Goblin folk, and it all begins with Muxus reimagined as a Goblin King. It’s going down as one of the most hotly anticipated and striking pieces of the entire collection, and it leads us into the second part of the trilogy, Should You Need Us.
The third Labyrinth drop is called Through the Labyrinth, and this leans more into the franchise’s surreal visuals. The art on these cards is stunning, including wonderful renditions of David Bowie in various styles.
Each set in the drop will run you up a bill of $39.99 for foil, or $29.99 for non-foil cards.
Further in the Secret Lair Corn Maze superdrop, we waltz into KPop: Demon Hunters territory with the How It’s Done set, a seven-card collection with instantly recognizable replications of the franchise’s key characters. That too will cost $39.99 for foil and $29.99 for non-foil variants.
Finally, there’s the Secret Lair x Marvel: Zombies collection, which is absolutely incredible and perfectly timed for Halloween.
It features six insane cards:
- 1x Unstoppable Slasher (Wolverine)
- 1x Zombie Apocalypse
- 1x Vogar, Necropolis Tyrant as “Zombie Giant-Man”
- 1x God-Eternal Bontu as “Zombie Thor”
- 1x Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver as “Zombie Captain America”
- 1x Varina, Lich Queen as “Zombie Scarlet Witch”
I’d tell you what the price points are for this drop, but you can probably guess.
Elsewhere in the Secret Lair superdrop, you’ve got:
- Artist Series: Veronique Meignaud
- Manufactured Grounds by See Machine
- Peace, Love, & Treefolk
And, of course, there are some super-sized bundles. If you part with $539.99, you can get every item in the Corn Maze Secret Lair collection from the A-Maize-Ing Everything Bundle, while the Full Moon Bundle gets you a fair assortment of packs for just north of $300.
The entire superdrop lands on October 12.
