Mortal Kombat 1 has finally been released to an eagerly awaiting audience and is enjoying a prolific parade around social, streaming, and gaming platforms the world over. That is, except for the Nintendo Switch version, which is being bagged on left, right, and centre – and rightly so, it seems.
In a series of screenshots and clips, bewildered users are showcasing their Mortal Kombat 1 experiences on Nintendo Switch, revealing ‘PS2-like’ graphics, game-breaking bugs, and some of the worst character models we’ve seen for a very long time.
It’s Not Good, Is It?
It has been rather entertaining from a third-party perspective, sitting back and watching users take to the airwaves up in arms about having wasted $70 on an insanely shoddy product. Here’s one of the best posts from Twitter:
In one clip, which was shared by Eurogamer after picking it up from user mr_baconssauro, we see a somewhat bizarre glitch. In a 24-second video, we watch as one user’s opponent walks on and off the screen, apparently oblivious to the fact that they’re supposed to be, you know, fighting.
Some users have slammed NetherRealm for releasing the Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 in this condition. It’s certainly not something you’d be happy to purchase, but it’s a situation that’s yet to be addressed by the developer.

What did people expect? MK11 was in Unreal 3 and ran horribly on Switch obviously this was going to be bad it’s in Unreal 4! Who is paying for this? $70 dollars for this game is robbery! The game in general is bad.
MK1 in general is awful! Don’t buy it! Stop giving these greedy companies money!
The DLC leaked and its awful! No 3D era characters in sight just Kotal, Jade, and the Kombat Kids. No Onaga even though we were teased Onaga!
