Oblivion Remastered might be released tomorrow, but it’s yet to be formally addressed by Bethesda Game Studios. The closest we’ve got is a support bot leaking the most solid reference we’ve seen yet for the potential release date of the remaster of the 2006 RPG.
Recently, eagle-eyed gamers tracked down more references to the game’s existence, digging out some cached data on Bing that points to the Virtuos website. It’s cast-iron proof that the game is set to drop soon, and the (dead) links point to a ‘success stories’ section of the site, suggesting that Virtuos is proud of what it has accomplished.
Close to Oblivion
Tomorrow will be a great day if Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is released worldwide. It has been the most talked-about game in recent weeks, and the word of mouth has proven to be the most successful marketing campaign Bethesda could have ever hoped for.
That’s probably why the team has neglected to provide any official information about the game.
This week, images and information about the Deluxe Edition of Oblivion Remastered leaked online, also from the Virtuos website. Fans of the franchise have pored over every pixel, trying desperately to identify what’s new in Oblivion Remastered.
Most fans are just wondering if the bizarre NPC interactions that the game is famous for have been left in the remaster.
On Reddit, a user known as ‘ArrowToTheKnee23’ (how appropriate) pasted images showcasing the cached Virtuos Games pages leading to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
It’s nothing we didn’t already know or suspect, but it’s yet more fuel to the fire that we’re waiting for Bethesda Game Studios to fully stoke and push into overdrive.
Are we going to see the release of Oblivion Remastered tomorrow? I’m excited and desperate for it to become a reality.
Let me know in the comments if you’re also excited!

This last week has been the absolute hardest wait for a game I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. Oblivion is one of ym all time favorite games and RPG’s. I loved it more than I ever did Skyrim, and I put significantly more time into it as well. I am hoping and praying that it releases tomorrow, or at least accoeding to several insiders it’s predicted to come out “the week of the 21st”. So if we don’t specifically get it tomorrow we at least have the rest of the week. But man I really need it to come out tomorrow. An Oblivion Remaster is just the thing I’ve been craving lately.
