Minecraft has received a brand new DLC that not only lets you use Superman’s abilities, but also lets you explore his world.
Minecraft had already received a Superman skin pack back in July to celebrate the arrival of DC’s new movie. Many players thought that would be the end of it, but now a full-fledged DLC can be purchased from the marketplace, which will give players access to 11 skins and one world.
Minecraft’s Superman DLC has Arrived
The Superman DLC has players taking on the hero’s biggest rival, Lex Luthor. As usual, Luthor is up to no good and is preparing a really “disturbing scheme”. As Superman, the player’s task is to unravel the mystery and save Metropolis by flying through the air, using laser beams, and freezing breath. There are numerous puzzles for players to solve as well.
Minecraft’s Superman DLC Brings Fortress of Solitude, Metropolis, and More to the Game
The iconic locations associated with the superhero have been introduced to Minecraft, including the Fortress of Solitude, Metropolis, LuthorCorp, and the Hall of Justice. Learn more about each new location below.
Fortress of Solitude
This location will be your hub in the new Superman DLC for Minecraft. Here, players will be able to choose which mission they want to complete, gather all their collectables, or take a breather after fighting all the monsters and enemies. Moreover, this location will also let you unwind with Krypto the Superdog.
Metropolis
Superman’s very own city has been introduced to the game, and those who know about Metropolis are aware that there’s always trouble brewing in the town. Players can not only save the various citizens of this city, but also enjoy munching on pizza, going to the movies, or shopping for new socks. However, as a superhero, saving people comes first.
LuthorCorp
LuthorCorp will serve as the home base for Lex Luthor, where he cooks up all his sinister schemes. This is also the location where Superman will have to confront Lex Luthor and other bosses in the Minecraft DLC. The area also features maze-like corridors, traps, and waves of goons.
Hall of Justice
Last but not least is the Hall of Justice, a clubhouse for the Superheroes. Here, players can find characters like Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, and Metamorpho to assist them. However, Luthor is not happy about superheroes having a place to relax and has sent his goons to invade the area.
Minecraft Players Can Use Superman’s Ability
Due to Lex Luthor, there’s a lot on Superman’s plate, and the new DLC provides players with the appropriate abilities to take enemies down. As the man of steel, players will be able to zip through the skyscrapers of Metropolis. Superman can use his heat vision to burn his enemies or his freeze breath to immobilize them. His super strength is at your disposal too, allowing players to bash their enemies away.
