The Skibidi Toilet project under the guidance of director Michael Bay is officially in production with Invisible Narratives producing, developing, and funding the project.
According to the media release, Bay and partner Jeffrey Beecroft have “been working on Skibidi since it was first publicly announced last summer.”
“An early creative take on the franchise, the piece brings Bay’s signature visual intensity to one of the internet’s most unlikely breakout IPs,” the release says while not clarifying if this will be a full movie, TV show, or something different.
Plans for a movie and/or TV show based on the meme were first revealed back in July 2024. At the time, Invisible Narratives founder Adam Goodman said that Skibidi Toilet “lends itself very well to traditional media”.
There are no other details regarding when something will be officially revealed in more detail or any sort of release timeline. Details, the studio says, will be announced on the project’s official website. Right now, the website is nothing more than an email signup with a message stating, “The feed is active. Something strange is building.”
