Metallica Comes To Fortnite Festival Alongside New Game Mode

Epic Games has announced that legendary metal band Metallica is coming to Fortnite Festival with Season 4 alongside a brand new game mode called Battle Stage.

Battle Stage is a PvP mode where 16 players battle across a four-song setlist to be the last rockstar standing. Players will be able to attack each other in order to disrupt performances, and knockout them out of the battle.

“Each public Battle Stage match begins with up to 16 players, all competing to get the highest score on a randomly chosen song from Festival’s featured rotation,” Epic Games said. “You’ll play the same track as other players but get to choose your song part and difficulty as you riff your way to the highest score. Owned Jam Tracks cannot be selected, so no one player has an advantage.

“The four lowest-scoring players are eliminated at the end of each song until there’s a single victor!”

As far as new songs go, six classic Metallica songs will be available in the shop through Season 4. Those songs include:

  • Metallica – “Enter Sandman”
  • Metallica – “Fuel”
  • Metallica – “Master of Puppets”
  • Metallica – “Ride the Lightning”
  • Metallica – “The Unforgiven”
  • Metallica – “Wherever I May Roam”

Epic Games is also teasing even more Metallica songs coming to Fortnite Festival at other points of the season.

Fortnite Festival Season 4 beings on Thursday June 13 and runs through August 16. You can get full details of what else Season 4 has to offer, including game fixes, from Epic Games.
