After speculation just the other day regarding the release window of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, PlayStation and Insomniac Games confirmed today that the game would release in Fall of 2023. The information was released via a PlayStation blog post.
The news comes just a few days after the wish list item for Spider-Man 2 was revealed on the PlayStation Store, and later removed that same day. That led some to believe that news on the game would in fact be coming real soon. Then just yesterday, it was a discovered that Jamie Mayer, a writer working on the Insomniac team posted in her bio that the game would be set to release in Fall 2023 stating, “Currently on the writing team for the upcoming Spider-Man 2 (release fall 2023) and Wolverine games (release TBD) for Insomniac Games/Sony Interactive”.
There’s no doubt that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games coming to PlayStation in the coming year and fans are really looking forward to it. Created Director Bryan Intihar had this to say regarding the work his team has done and Spider-Man 2’s release.
“What a year it’s been for PlayStation Studios; here at Insomniac Games we’ve been in absolute awe of the work of our peers. Congrats to everyone on a successful 2022… and here’s to next year being just as exciting as we continue to get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ready for release next fall.”

Spider-Man 2 will release in Fall 2023 and will follow the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales continuing the stories of Peter Parker and Miles Morales and will in fact also include Venom at some point within the game as well. There is still much to be revealed about the game and perhaps we will hear more from Insomniac and PlayStation in the coming months.
