The director of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has issued a statement apologizing for the game’s PC launch, which had a plethora of issues.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls launched on PlayStation 5 and PC on August 6, but there’s a huge disparity between the game’s rating by players on console compared to PC, with the latter have an array of launch issues.
Stability issues were a huge crux of players’ frustrations and, in a post on Steam that outlines upcoming balance changes, the game’s directror, Kazuto Sekine, apologized for the launch issues.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls’ Rough PC Launch Addressed
“Seeing the game’s content so positively received, with players enjoying the experience and feeling inspired to keep playing, has been a tremendous source of joy for the entire development team,” the post read, as reported by IGN.
“However, we also recognize that the launch period was impacted by stability issues on PC, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused our players.
“It was never our intention for players to be unable to enjoy the game as we envisioned, and we are currently making progress on improvements to the PC version so that everyone can enjoy the game to the fullest.”
The post outlined areas the team feels “need to be addressed,” including a reassessment of input response, increased cooldown time for certain Assists and Switches, and character balance.
Those adjustments aren’t unique for the PC version of the game, and will be deployed on PlayStation 5 too, and comes ahead of the release of the first DLC pack for the game, bringing the Phoenix Five to the game.
