Marvel Rivals Peni Parker Gameplay Revealed

Marvel Rivals Vanguard Peni Parker

A new reveal trailer via IGN revealed Peni Parker gameplay for Marvel Rivals, the anticipated team-based superhero shooter from NetEase Games.

The trailer is brief, but it describes Peni Parker as a vanguard and showcases combat involving the signature SP//dr mech-suit.

Much of the footage features mobility such as wall climbing and dashing. However, there’s also a glimpse of a transformed SP//dr with “Spider Sweep” and “Arachno-Mine” abilities.

These appear to include a Naruto-style run, and further emphasize the role Peni Parker will have in Marvel Rivals.

Today’s Peni Parker trailer concludes by reminding players that a Closed Beta for Marvel Rivals is coming in July 2024.

Like the rest of the roster, Peni Parker is a fan favorite character. However, they likely gained mainstream popularity following the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film.

During PlayStation’s recent State of Play, NetEase Games confirmed Marvel Rivals is coming to consoles. It will also boast a massive roster of characters for players to choose from, including Spider-Man, Storm, and more.

Early on, NetEase Games faced some backlash after restricting criticism during the closed alpha test. However, the devs later apologized, and the game is building plenty of renewed hype ahead of the closed beta.

Marvel Rivals does not currently have a release window or date. It will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
