Marvel Rivals Beta Surprises Players with Thor and Another Character

Marvel Rivals closed beta is live now, with select players worldwide trying out Netease’s latest Marvel superhero team-based PvP shooter. The developers were present at the San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, where they presented a brand-new trailer, some game reveals and special giveaways. During the event, Thor and Jeff were announced as the latest character introductions for Marvel Rivals.

Thor and Jeff Arrive Tomorrow

In a new Marvel Rivals trailer released today, Netease announced the arrival of the Asgardian God of Thunder, Thor, and Jeff, the land shark. These characters will be available in Marvel Rivals’ closed beta from July 27.

These characters’ abilities are unknown at the moment, but we can be sure that Thor will wield the trusty Mjolnir and summon thunder to wreak absolute chaos during the match. On the other hand, Jeff is a shark, so his teeth will surely come into play.

Players in the comment section have expressed excitement for the new heroes but have also raised concerns about the recent Twitch drops issue. Marvel Rivals’ closed beta ends on August 8, 2024; check out their latest cinematic trailer below.

Marvel Rivals Addresses Twitch Drops Issue

Marvel Rivals developers have addressed this issue, apologising to players who couldn’t claim the code due to website display issues. To resolve further problems, the developers have made it easier for PlayStation 5 players to identify which code to claim in their reason.

Also, if players have completed their 60-minute watch time on Twitch and the day’s codes have been claimed, they can refresh the page the next day to redeem the codes without watching another hour of Marvel Rivals gameplay on Twitch.

Additionally, check out the gameplay for another new character, Peni Parker. Also, here are all the characters in the Marvel Rivals roster. How do you feel about Thor and Jeff being added to Marvel Rivals’ closed beta? Let us know in the comments.
