It seems the latest Switch 2 jailbreak has led to Mario Kart World running on macOS and the iPhone 18 Pro.
For those unaware, just a couple of days ago, the first Nintendo Switch 2 jailbreak exploit was discovered, which allows modders to run homebrew, reverse engineer, and mod Switch 2 games, among other things. The first use of this jailbreak has already been spotted, with Mario Kart World running on devices it was never supposed to run on.
Mario Kart World Has Been Spotted Running on macOS and iPhone 18 Pro
Spotted by Wccftech, emulator developer Will Faust has shown Mario Kart World running on macOS and the iPhone 18 Pro through his recent X posts (formerly Twitter). The developer’s first video shows the game running on macOS, and it looks pretty rough; the colors are limited to yellow and black, and it seems to have some issues loading assets, too. Faust reveals that he got the game running with the help of the nxnative fork and clarified that he owns the game and dumped it using the FS exploit.

The iPhone 18 Pro version of Mario Kart World looks pretty good, with some stuttering issues in the beginning, but the colors are perfect. Faust has explained that “Physical memory usage is fairly low due to implementing userspace file-backed memory.” The developer also clarified that he will not release the code for this project anywhere. However, if he has got it running, it’s just a matter of time before other devs follow suit.
