A fresh look at Mafia: The Old Country was shown at Summer Game Fest in the form of a new story trailer for the 2K Games title.
Releasing August 8, Mafia: The Old Country is the next entry in the fan-favorite franchise, set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily.
The trailer did not show any gameplay footage, but instead featured a bunch of cinematics highlighting the characters and story waiting to be unveiled. Check it out below.
The trailer showed a detailed look at the protagonist, Enzo Favara, as he enters the Torrisi crime family seeking a better life, with the title teased as playing out a “classic mob movie.”
The game includes a range of Sicilian environments, including underground crypts, crumbling ruins, vineyards, and opera houses, with traversal in turn-of-the-century vehicles, on foot, or via horseback.
Pre-orders are available for the title, which includes the Soldato Pack of cosmetic items, while additional bonuses are available with a free 2K account, or through the Deluxe Edition of the title.
Mafia: The Old Country will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it launches later this year.
