Riot Games and Incredible Dream Games Studio have revealed a new version of League of Legends board game, Mechs vs Minions.
The original board game sees two to four players trying to programme Yordle-controlled mechs to defeat hordes of minions and complete missions.
Mechs vs Minions was released 10 years ago, back in 2016, and has now been out of print for around five years.
Yet, as revealed during Shut Up and Sit Down’s Board Game Direct, Riot is releasing a new, cheaper ‘Bandle City Edition’ as well as a limited reprint of the original.
New Mechs vs Minions Bandle City Edition
The new Bandle City Edition of Mechs vs Minions will come in a much smaller box and will be significantly more affordable.
Instead of pre-painted miniatures, the playable Yordles – Corki, Heimerdinger, Tristana, and Ziggs, will come as double-sided acrylic standees.
The 100 minion miniatures will be replaced by cardboard tokens, and some of the sideboards have been combined into one.
Additionally, mission envelopes have been replaced by new tuck boxes, and the champions will be contained in small cardboard folders which can hold Schematic cards earned by completing missions.
The gameplay is exactly the same as the original, except that this new version will include 10 new solo puzzle challenges.
There are also new skin cards which appear to be able to change the art of the playable Yordles to skins taken from the MOBA.

How Much Will Mechs vs Minions Cost?
Mechs vs Minions Bandle City edition will cost $74.99, the same as what the original big-box version did back in 2016.
Considering inflation and other factors such as Tariffs making board game production more affordable, the reprint of the original version has significantly increased.
The limited reprint of the more deluxe version will cost $199.99.
Both versions will be available in English, French, and Spanish.
