A new rumor hints at a LEGO Astro Bot being released with the PlayStation 1 set as a gift with purchase on October 1.
Interestingly, the LEGO PlayStation 1 console set hasn’t been officially revealed yet either; we only know it is scheduled to arrive later this year, according to a rumor that popped up in March 2026. Now, the latest one adds to the rumor, with PlayStation’s latest mascot joining the LEGO fun.
LEGO Astro Bot and PlayStation 1 Rumored to Release in October
The information about LEGO Astro Bot comes from a reliable insider in the LEGO world, BrickTap. Their latest post on the r/Legoleak subreddit reveals the code for Astro Bot (40899) and the PlayStation set (72306). It seems that the Astro Bot will be provided as a “gift-with-purchase” when buying the PlayStation 1 set. Both are rumored to release on October 1, 2026; the PlayStation 1 set will reportedly feature 1911 pieces and is expected to be priced at $160.
Astro Bot has emerged as the newest mascot for the PlayStation universe since the launch of PlayStation 5. We were first introduced to this character in Astro’s Playroom, a 3D platforming game that showcased the capabilities of the current-generation console. Then, Team Asobi took it a step further by creating a full game centered around the character, which quickly gained immense popularity and even won Game of the Year in 2024, greatly boosting Astro’s recognition.
Fans of the character would love to have a LEGO version to add to their PlayStation 1 set. However, players should note that neither LEGO Astro Bot nor the PlayStation 1 has been officially confirmed.
