South Korean esports organisation DRX is expanding its business by investing in Korean television dramas and publishing mobile games.
DRX competes in League of Legends’ LCK and won LoL Worlds in 2022, as well as Valorant’s VCT Pacific and placed third at Champions 2025.
This entertainment expansion was made through marketing agency WebsCreative, a DRX subsidiary since 2022.
DRX has since expanded its investment in WebsCreative beyond content marketing to produce shows and mobile games.
DRX’s New Projects
As revealed in an interview with Variety, DRX is currently working on two K-drama series.
Both are said to have casts featuring well-known actors in Korea, with the first project already in production.
It’s claimed that DRX is leading with a hands-off approach, allowing WebsCreative to oversee the production.
WebsCreative is also working in game publishing for the first time, with hopes of pairing its project distribution with DRX’s knowledge of young audiences through esports.

DRX expanding its business ventures and revenue streams isn’t uncommon for esports organisations.
Earlier this year, G2 Esports released its webcomic and original IP Red Aura in English on the WEBTOON platform.
DRX Co-CEO Can Yang claims that the organisation’s esports experience will help these other ventures:
“We do not see esports, game publishing and content IP as completely separate businesses… Over time, we want to create a broader entertainment integration where those different areas can support each other.”
