Konami has publicly addressed a number of launch issues for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater that have been reported by players.
In a post on social media, Komani says that it has “received reports of several issues and are preparing a patch to address them.”
The issues all center around game crashes and includes:
- Performing an additional survival knife attack after completing a series of consecutive attacks to secure food may cause the game to crash under certain conditions.
- Removing the Crocodile Cap from the Survival Viewer while it is equipped may cause the game to crash under certain conditions.
- Collecting food when a hungry crocodile is nearby may cause the game to crash under certain conditions.
- Transitioning from a roll into a crawl may result in the character model floating in mid-air under certain conditions.
- In areas where the camera switches to Intrusion View, character movement may become restricted under certain conditions.
- Opening the Radio Window under certain conditions may cause the game to crash.
Konami doesn’t have a specific timeline for a release for the update, but says that it will “take a little longer to implement the fixes” as they investigate the causes.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” they said.

I thought it was just me..I got the “deluxe version”..I believe it was $79.99 and was able to get on at 08A, yesterday, Tuesday the 26th. I was stoked to be able to play the game on my PS5Pro. After I get dropped off I make my way to my backpack in the tree, climb the tree and get out on the branch. I then drop down & what do ya know..I’m all of a sudden floating right above my back pack. I had to restart and after that first time I had no problems WITH THAT SECTION AGAIN. To be honest every section of my game that had a maximum amount of action (which is a joke because the first 30 min I wouldn’t call any part of it a maximum amount of action) my game would crash. The next major section, I get to the area that has four or five cross. I start to mingle among them. I move to the right side where there are grenade pick-up’s. I get there & just as I do, the croc turns it’s body around so it’s tail is toward me &…yup, you guessed it..a crash and another playstation error report! I restart again and attempt to get past these “errors”…then after another 30 min & two more crashes I decided to give it up, delete the game that obviously isn’t PS5 Pro enhanced and move on to my next early release game (well, not until that Tuesday night at 9P P.S.T.) Gears of war which, I have had ZERO CRASHES and the action in that game is constant & overwhelming, in a great way.
Needless to say, Ko isn’t exactly glaring with confidence concerning getting that patch out. I can pretty much say that I won’t ever.be.playing that game any longer. When you do a remaster of a remaster and have that many issues in.the first 30 min, why would you expect people to still have confid3nce in your services? Especially when you give the standard, we will wait and evaluate before we put out the patch. That game will be in my “deled” section!à
Hmmm, but no statement about the poor performance on console? That performance mode frequently goes under 40 and quality cant even hold 30? Or that the pro sometimes fares worse than performance?
This game launched pretty much a year after it was supposed to…and still all these issues. My backlog is crazy anyway. I’ll grab this later and at a cheaper price then.
I haven’t personally seen any of these and I’ve already finished the game three times while Trophy hunting on my PS5, only 4 to go and Ive been playing since the pre order drop, I wish everyone had experiences like mine without the bugs.
