KCorp, LYON, and BLG Secure Final LoL Worlds Knockouts Spots

The League of Legends World Championship (LoL Worlds) 2026 Swiss Stage has concluded and only eight teams remain.

The final day of Swiss was full of regional rivalries with LCS vs CBLOL, Spain vs France within the LEC, and an LCK vs LPL rematch of the MSI final.

And it was BiliBili Gaming (BLG), LYON, and Karmine Corp who came out on top in these season-defining series.

Here’s how everything went down in the last best-of-threes of the tournament.

KCorp Get Revenge on MKOI

KCorp finally got revenge on their rivals Movistar KOI, who beat them in their home country in the LEC Summer Playoffs.

MKOI had a strong start to Worlds, shocking BLG and going 2-0 in the Swiss with surprisingly clean gameplay.

However, they then lost every best-of-three at the tournament, including a one-sided 2-0 loss to KCorp.

In Game 1, MKOI fought extremely hard to come back against a KC team with Infernal Soul and managed to stabilise the game.

But a flash forward by David ‘Supa’ Martínez García backfired spectacularly and was the final nail in the coffin.

Then Game 2 was a total stomp. MKOI appeared to be tilted and fell back into old habits with lots of early mistakes.

MKOI tried to cross-map to trade Drake for Grubs, but Martin ‘Yike’ Sundelin Pantheon ulted to make sure they got nothing, and extended KCorp’s huge lead for an easy win.

LYON Stop LØS From Making History

CBLOL champions LØS were one match away from becoming the first team to make the LoL Worlds Knockout Stages.

However, LYON bounced back from losing Game 1 to barely come out on top during an intense series in front of a rabid crowd.

When LØS built up another gold lead in Game 2, it looked like Brazil was going to eliminate all three NA teams.

However, with both teams on three Drakes, Kim ‘Berserker’ Min-cheol put out monstrous damage as Yunara to help his team come back from 8k gold down.

The match then ended thanks to a backdoor by LYON’s bot lane, sending the Texas crowd into a frenzy.

And in Game 3, LYON finally accumulated an early lead and was able to snowball for the first time in the series.

LØS fought back valiantly, but it wasn’t enough as their impressive Worlds run came to an end.

BLG Peak At The Perfect Time

This series being a 2v2 elimination just felt wrong.

Heading into LoL Worlds 2026, HLE and BLG were considered some of the tournament favourites by Polymarket users and other fans.

The first match was extremely close. HLE were in control, but BLG were team-fighting superbly to keep themselves in the game.

BLG were 4k gold down, but then a ridiculous 4-man Shockwave from Zhuo ‘Knight’ Ding was timed perfectly with Ezreal ult for a game-winning quadra.

Then, BLG had an electric start to Game 2 with a jungle gank top and mid roam to bot, earning them kills in both lanes at the same time.

BLG snowballed from there, leaving HLE with no choice but to concede mutiple Drakes.

HLE finally had to try and stop the Mountain Soul, but Knight found a great flank with his Locke after just buying Rabadons to help his team pick up a clean ace and the series.

After the series, an emotional Park ‘Viper’ Do-hyeon revealed his mum is battling cancer and was hopeful she could watch him in the Knockouts.

LoL Worlds Quarter-Finals Draw

The LoL Worlds 2026 top eight are now confirmed, and the Quarter-Finals match-ups have been locked in as follows:

  • Dplus Kia (3-0) vs BLG (3-2)
  • Karmine Corp (3-2) vs T1 (3-1)
  • Gen.G (3-0) vs LYON (3-2)
  • TES (3-1) vs Invictus Gaming (3-1)
