Jade Raymond Leaves Haven Studios Four Years After Founding The Company

Jade Raymond, a legendary developer who founded Haven Studios in 2021, has left the company without a public reason being made clear. She departs the company as it prepares to release a debut title, a multiplayer shooter named Fairgame$.

In reports, it was suggested that developers at Haven Studios are less than happy with how the game’s development is progressing.

Build It And Go

In an article published by Bloomberg, it was revealed that Haven Studios founder Jade Raymond has departed the company. It reads as a sudden thing, and PlayStation, the parent company to Haven, neglected to provide a solid explanation:

Jade Raymond has been an incredible partner and visionary force in founding Haven Studios. We are deeply grateful for her leadership and contributions, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter.

PlayStation is committed to supporting Haven Studios and excited to continue the journey.

Haven Studios is piecing together Fairgame$, a multiplayer title that should be a live-service shooter akin to The Finals, from Embark Studios. The game’s operating model revolves around players teaming up to rob the super-rich while fighting off opponents with similar goals.

Raymond is a prolific developer with almost a quarter of a century in the business. She has been through the likes of Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and Sony, and her career has seen her contribute in key roles to the development of games like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Star Wars: Battlefront II.

The report by Bloomberg mentioned that unidentified sources have shown concerns about how Fairgame$ is progressing at Haven Studios, which could be a contributor to Raymond’s sudden departure.

  • This looks bad. Another potential live service game from Sony cancelled? And they wasted money to acquire Haven too? Sony is a mess. Heard Yotei will be delayed as well to 2026 or worse 2027.
