The final months of 2026 are packed with some major releases, including Insomniac Games’ fiercely anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine, raising the age old question of whether a PC launch is on the horizon.
Having brought the Spider-Man series to life over three entries, Insomniac Games now turns its attention to the iconic X-Men character Wolverine in a narrative-driven story.
If you’re wondering whether the upcoming launch will include PC, Insider Gaming has all the important details you need to know.
Is Marvel’s Wolverine Available on PC?
No, Marvel’s Wolverine is not available to purchase on PC for the September 15 launch, and instead is exclusive to one platform.
Sony is keeping Marvel’s Wolverine as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, meaning bad news for XBOX Series X|S owners or those with a PlayStation 4, but PC players will also have to wait.
Unlike Microsoft, which had a brief period of sharing its exclusive franchises with its rival, bringing the likes of Halo and Gears of War to PlayStation for the first time, Sony is much stricter.
There’s a different approach with PC, however, and the door isn’t shut for an eventual release on the platform later down the line.
Will Marvel’s Wolverine Release on PC?
Marvel’s Wolverine is likely to release on PC eventually, although there’s no news on when exactly this may be.
Sony’s PlayStation exclusive titles have regularly released on PC at a later date, including all three of Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man titles, and other franchises like God of War.
Therefore, it would be a huge surprise if Wolverine skipped a PC launch entirely, but there’s often a large gap between the initial launch and a PC release.
Spider-Man 2, for example, released on PS5 on October 20, 2023, followed by a PC launch on January 30, 2025, so expect to wait a year minimum for Marvel’s Wolverine to head to PC.
