Recently, Rockstar Games released another slew of Grand Theft Auto 6 screenshots, dubbed a ‘launch gallery’, and revealed a few unknown details about the game. From the identity of Jason Duval’s military pup to the identity of a celebrity cameo, we had a few tidbits surface in these remarkable screenshots.
That celebrity cameo arrived in the form of Kodak Black, a rapper and singer from Florida. This has opened up speculation that more celebrity cameos will land in Grand Theft Auto 6, but there’s a pretty big twist here.
Kodak Black Might Be The First of Many
Kodak Black is in Grand Theft Auto 6, and it looks like he’s playing himself.
It’s no big secret that Rockstar Games often brings in well-known celebrities to play Grand Theft Auto characters, and there’s already a slew of big names confirmed for the game’s radio stations, but this is the first character we’ve seen modelled on a celebrity.
But this character isn’t just modelled on Kodak Black.
It appears to be Kodak Black. It was noticed that everything about this character, including the tattoos, is a perfect replication of the real-world rapper.
This is huge, because Rockstar Games doesn’t do that. If a celebrity has a role in Grand Theft Auto, they’re often playing a satirized character or something similar, and they never assume their own real-world identity. GTA is the ultimate societal parody, but Kodak Black being a character could indicate more celebrity presences surfacing.
And that has prompted many to wonder who else from the state of Florida could appear in GTA 6.
Who is Kodak Black?
For those not in the know, Kodak Black, real name Bill Kahan Kapri, is an American hip-hop and rap artist, most notable for ‘No Flockin‘, a track he released more than a decade ago. He’s a prolific artist who has built a reputation for being a guy in the know, well connected to other artists.
Earlier this year, he lived a bit of the Grand Theft Auto life when he was arrested in Florida on an MDMA trafficking charge, and previously, he served time in prison.
