We’re living in a renaissance within the gaming industry, with countless publishers who previously took a hardline stance on exclusivity, finding themselves pushing new releases to other platforms. Just look at Sony launching many of their first-party exclusives on PC. And now, Xbox is coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. But what about the latest hit? Is Helldivers 2 coming to Xbox?
Will Helldivers 2 Come to Xbox Consoles?
As of this moment, unfortunately, Helldivers 2 is not coming to Xbox. Sony and PlayStation, while certainly open to other platforms, continue to focus on their ecosystem above all else, and that means an absolute monolithic hit like Helldivers 2 will likely remain outside of Xbox systems. The four-player cooperative third-person shooter is an absolute blast, and it would do incredibly well on Xbox Series X|S. If PlayStation would set aside its differences, like Xbox, then we’d have a massive army protecting Super Earth.
Not only is it good for them, but it’s good for us. As gamers, we should be able to play our favorite titles anywhere. Thankfully, with the upcoming PlayStation releases of Sea of Thieves and Grounded, among others, it’s more likely to happen than ever before!

Is Helldivers 2 Worth Buying on PC or PlayStation?
While Helldivers 2 previously sat at Mixed on Steam, it’s up to a Mostly Positive, all thanks to developer Arrowhead Game Studios actively communicating with the community and pushing fixes for the game’s numerous server issues. And to be clear, the server issues weren’t due to bugs or poor code quality but because of hype. Helldivers 2 skyrocketed in popularity worldwide, and the indie developer was wholly unprepared for its success.
Even with plenty of other games to cover, I find myself making time for Helldivers 2 daily. Even if it’s only a single round or two, it’s an experience I don’t want to miss out on!
So, yes, Helldivers 2 is worth buying on PC or PlayStation if you genuinely cannot wait for an Xbox release.
