With Grounded launching on PlayStation 5 and its current availability on other systems, the player base is spread relatively thin. But there’s a way to solve that problem. More games support crossplay and cross-platform play these days, and it’s terrific for us players. So, is Grounded crossplay?
Does Grounded Have Crossplay Support?
Yes! Grounded does support crossplay and cross-platform play between PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch systems. If you’re playing on PC but your friend only owns a PlayStation 5, you can invite them to your world and play without any issues. It just works!
The only issue you may stumble upon is calling out controls in the heat of battle, like how to heal or swap weapons, as one player is likely using a mouse and keyboard while the other uses a controller. But that’s a minor inconvenience and easily overlooked!

How to Play Grounded
In Grounded, you take on the role of a child shrunken to the size of a squashable bug due to a mysterious science experiment gone wrong—or very right, depending on how the story unfolds!
You’ll explore the backyard, construct bases, craft armor, tools, and weapons, and learn how to survive against arachnids, beetles, ants, wasps, and so much more.
To make the survival experience somewhat tolerable, you can play with up to three friends, exploring and building together. I do recommend bringing someone along. There’s nothing quite like your first fight against a towering spider to humble you.
