As announced during the Insider Gaming 28 Days Later Showcase, Inkblood, a mystery-based horror game with point-and-click mechanics and a 2D art style, launches a demo today, October 1, 2026, on Steam.
The game, which challenges you to investigate a cult, has over 60,000 wishlists on Steam already and is slated to release later this year.
In this game, you explore unsettling locations, including deadly swamps and abandoned villages. You’re not only investigating the cult; you also know your predecessor has vanished. Inkblood also features unique time-manipulation mechanics: a magnifying glass lets you peek into the past. The game’s description makes it clear that nothing is certain in the present until you untangle days gone by.
