A new trailer for Tenebris Somnia was shown during Insider Gaming’s 28 Games Later showcase, as the horror title draws closer to it’s October 16 release date.
The survival horror game expertly blends two very distinct mediums, live action and retro gameplay, to create a fusion as the final product, bringing two entirely different perspectives to the horrifying adventure.

Features
Retro Survival Horror…
At the heart of Tenebris Somnia is a retro-inspired survival horror experience, drawing heavily from the 8-bit and 16-bit era of gaming. Taking inspiration from classics such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil, you’ll explore unsettling environments, fight terrifying monsters, solve puzzles, and carefully manage your resources as you attempt to survive the nightmares ahead.
… Mixed With Live Action Cut Scenes
Things take a very different turn whenever Tenebris Somnia moves into its narrative sequences, with all of the game’s cinematics presented as live-action footage. Featuring real actors and practical effects, these scenes provide a stark contrast to the pixel-art gameplay, while still fitting into the wider horror experience.

The Studio Behind Tenebris Somnia
Tenebris Somnia is developed by Saibot Studios, an Argentinian team known for blending classic horror aesthetics with modern game design.
The studio has previously worked on the Doorways horror series, but Tenebris Somnia takes a unique approach by combining pixel-art gameplay with live-action horror sequences.
