Hytale Chapter 1 is coming up, and to celebrate, creator and director Simon Collins-Laflamme is incentivizing all Hytale players to show off their skills by defeating the Gobliterator, under certain conditions, once the Chapter 1 update is live.
Early access has been going smoothly for Hytale in 2026. The sandbox RPG title has been receiving a ton of updates since launch, but Chapter 1 is a huge new step forward. It will add an incredible amount of content, including the emergence of the Gobliterator boss.
Hytale Chapter 1 Can Earn You $15,000
The Gobliterator is a new dedicated boss in Hytale, and the game’s director has revealed some key details about the fight:
- It’s a three-phase boss.
- There’s a hard mode version of the encounter.
You need to use all the skills and knowledge you’ve built up in Hytale to this point to take it down. This is just for the normal version of the fight. Hard mode will be a different beast altogether.

However, Collins-Laflamme is challenging all users and streamers:
‘I’ll donate $15,000 to the first streamer who kills the Gobliterator boss in hard mode, no armor, no potion, no glitch, in hardcore mode (you can use iron weapons available in Exploration Mode). It must be streamed so we can watch the VOD; don’t cheat, bro.
He’s also added: ‘It must be a full legit run in solo; you can’t just creative-mode your way in there! It will be interesting to see strategies: risk time in practice, or just go straight for the kill? hmm.’
Additionally, Simon will also be doing a ‘full rundown of the rules before launch’ to go through every possibility and potential loophole.
