Viper Hunter is one of the Merchant’s requests in the Resident Evil 4 (RE4) remake, and tasks you with selling three vipers to the Merchant. The Blue Note Request is pinned up near the Merchant’s shop you come to during Chapter 3, just after you pass through the Town Hall. In order to sell vipers to the Merchant, you first have to find and kill them. Fortunately, there are plenty of them, and most of them are easy to kill, but you’re going to have to progress quite a lot further through Chapter 3 in order to get three.
Where to find vipers in the Resident Evil 4 (RE4) Remake
The first is actually inside the Town Hall, and you’ll probably encounter it before you find the Blue Request Note for Viper Hunter. It’s in a breakable box on a shelf to the left when you first enter the Town Hall, but you probably won’t realise what it is until it attacks you, then disappears. Don’t worry if you missed it though. There are more vipers later on, so you’ll easily be able to sell 3 vipers in RE4.
The second viper is in the area between the Church (where you can do the Grave Robber request) and the Quarry. It’s inside the wooden crate on the table in the little house. Again, you might miss it because you’re being attacked by a lot of Ganados here, but it’ll slither out onto the walkway, so you can kill it and pick it up out there.
You won’t see another viper for a while, but the Fish Farm is absolutely riddled with them. They move around a lot though, so it’s hard to say exactly where you’ll find them. However, we found one on the walkway that runs north-south in the southeast of the Fish Farm.
And another slithering about in the water between the two ramps in the middle of the Fish Farm.
Sell your three vipers to the Merchant next time you see him, and he’ll reward you with 4 spinels.
