A new limited-time game mode has been introduced into Marvel Rivals as part of the Path To Doomsday, as The Avengers pits six heroes against one super-powered Loki.
If you’re playing as one of the six heroes trying to take Loki down, gameplay is largely familiar; work together and use your abilities to try and defeat Loki, and capture the objective. However, if you’re playing as Loki himself, you’ve a big task on your hands, as you’re vastly outnumbered.
Thankfully, he’s seen some upgrades with this game mode to make him as powerful as he was in The Avengers. Here’s his full suite of new abilities, as well as how long the event will run for in Marvel Rivals.
Every Loki Ability In The Avengers Game Mode In Marvel Rivals
Loki has been hugely reworked in The Avengers game mode, as he’s been given a huge health buff, and his kit now revolves heavily around the Mind Stone.
His moves still involve trickery, as illusions and invisibility are still core to his character, but there’s one big addition: mind control. When used, you can briefly take over any opposing hero, gaining access to their entire move set. It’s a great homage to the film, and a fun way to turn the enemy team against one another.

Here are all of Loki’s new abilities in The Avengers game mode:

| Sovereign’s Strike | Attack | Briefly charge the Mind Stone, then fire an energy blast from your Scepter, dealing damage and Grounding enemies. |
| Chrono-Chaos Command | Ultimate | Tear open a timeline rift to summon six Super Heroes from alternate realities, using the Mind Stone to command them to fight for Loki. |
| Illusion Bombardment | Ability | Conjure an Illusion. The Illusion channels the Mind Stone to continuously bombard surrounding enemies. |
| Bend The Knee | Ability | Fire an energy wave from the Mind Stone. Hit enemies are Mind Controlled, forcing them to switch sides and fight for Loki. |
| Royal Presence | Ability | Teleport to a selected Illusion. |
| Art Of Deception | Ability | Conjure an Illusion. Become Invisible and relocate to a position nearby based on directional input. |
| Puppet Strings | Ability | Take control of a nearby allied hero and gain access to all their abilities. AI will take over control of your original unit. |

The Marvel Rivals Path To Doomsday: The Avengers event will end on May 28, 2026, at 9 AM PT.

That means you have just under a month to enjoy the new limited-time game mode, as well as earn the selection of event-themed free rewards!
