Money makes the world go round, and you won’t get far in Planet Zoo 2 without cash to splash, so earning money fast is vital for growth.
Frontier Developments has significantly improved Planet Zoo 2 from the original game, though plenty of core features remain, and earning money is required across all modes, excluding Sandbox.
If you’re struggling for cash, here are some tips on how to make money fast in Planet Zoo 2.
How to Make Money Fast in Planet Zoo 2
Breed Animals to Sell

Selling animals in Planet Zoo 2 is one of the quickest ways to make cash, particularly if you’ve got animals that breed regularly, with large crops of young, and ones that reach adulthood in very little time.
Once an animal has grown into an adult, it’s available to be released or sold, and this approach is required regularly to ensure your population limits don’t go overboard and to ensure there isn’t any inbreeding between the families of animals.
Depending on the animal you’re selling, you can quickly raise anywhere from a couple of hundred to a few thousand dollars, and there’s no end to this process either, so rinse and repeat as required.
Place More Donation Bins
Donation bins are a crucial element of profits in Planet Zoo 2, particularly as they essentially offer free money, with little up-front cost to place them and no ongoing maintenance.
To fully maximize the benefits, you need to ensure you have as much educational content on the species placed nearest to the donation bins, and keep an eye on the popularity of each animal, as a higher rating means more donations, thus more profits.
A good approach is to place around three to four donation bins per habitat and exhibit, placed near to the educational content tied to each animal.
Run a Marketing Campaign

While it may seem counterintuitive to spend money in a case where you’re looking for more, a marketing campaign is a worthwhile expense, as it boosts the number of guests that visit your zoo.
More guests mean more revenue from entrance fees, alongside more donations and money spent on souveniers, food, and drinks, so it’s definitely worth considering putting some cash into marketing to boost your return.
The best approach is to focus the marketing campaign on your most popular animal, and remember that animals born in the zoo have a maximum rating that is higher than others, on average, so utilize those babies.
Add More ATMs
ATMs are crucial in Planet Zoo 2 due to the mechanics of the game and a guests spending money, as each guest enters the zoo with a set amount of money, and tends to stay until those funds are depleted.
Naturally, that means providing ATMs gives guests the opportunity to withdraw more money to spend, thus increasing the time they spend in your zoo and the cash that they’re ready to part with.
Of course, you also need to balance the happiness of your guests, as they will become frustrated and leave early if their requirements aren’t being met.
Check Your Profits
Before you panic and desperately start searching every avenue for additional cash in Planet Zoo 2, the best approach is to check your profits and see where you’re spending the most, or losing the most, money.
If your staff wages are consuming too much, consider trimming down the number of employees you have, and reduce the quality of animal feed if that’s where your cash is being sucked into.
Pay particular attention to the profits of each shop, as if you have somewhere that is losing money, it might be worth deleting it, or moving it to a location with higher guest traffic.
