Planet Zoo 2 is bringing the game beyond the zoos you create worldwide and into the wild, with Wildlife Reserves to build and restore, featuring a range of animals.
Frontier Developments‘ Planet Zoo 2 has made some big additions for the latest entry in the series, including a range of new animals to care for, and releasing them to the wild is more personal than ever.
If you’re keen to tick off every Wildlife Reserve and releasable animal in Planet Zoo 2, we’ve got a comprehensive list.
All Planet Zoo 2 Wildlife Reserves

Planet Zoo 2 has a variety of Wildlife Reserves where you can release animals into, watching them grow and continue their lifespan outside of your zoos.
These customisable Wildlife Reserves are one of the biggest new additions to Planet Zoo 2, alongside the introduction of fully aquatic and avian species, many of which are also able to be released to the wild.
Before you can do that, however, you’ll need to meet specific environmental requirements in the Wildlife Reserves, ranging from ensuring they have to correct habitat to making sure they have enough food sources.
Check out all the Wildlife Reserves and the animals that can be released into them in Planet Zoo 2 below.

How Many Wildlife Reserves in Planet Zoo 2?
There are six Wildlife Reserves in Planet Zoo 2, spread across three continents and allowing the release of a long list of animals.
Two are based in Africa, three are in Europe, and one is in Asia, so while it’s still a globe-spinning adventure, there are still some big holes that could be filled.
There are no Wildlife Reserves in either North or South America at launch, nor is Australia covered, but they, alongside the potential of others, could be featured in future DLC packs.
Given Wildlife Reserves are one of the biggest new additions in Planet Zoo 2, it’s reasonable to expect more will be added post-launch, though it remains to be seen when they will drop and whether they will arrive as free or paid-for additional content.
