When you first create your character in Skull and Bones, you’ll find the options somewhat limited. You can choose a variety of hairstyles, skin colors, and some tattoos. But you’re stuck with rags for clothing, and you don’t exude confidence like a pirate lord should, so something has to give. Here is how to change your appearance in Skull and Bones!

Where to Change Your Appearance in Skull and Bones

As you progress through the game’s prologue, which involves rowing around in a dingy and spearing sharks for an ungrateful pirate chief, you’ll eventually wind up sailing across the ocean to Sainte-Anne. This is your primary hub. It houses Scurlock, the king of all pirates, along with numerous crafting vendors and merchants. Here, in this pirate-filled town, you’ll find the Vanity Atelier.

The small shop at the end of the pier, one of the first buildings you might notice, is exactly where you can change your appearance and choose unique outfits. You can also buy additional outfits and clothing items, including eyepatches, tattoos, hats, and more.

Walk inside and speak with the woman behind the counter. Like everyone else in town, she’s somewhat gruff but happy to take your hard-earned silver. You’ll have two options: alter your appearance and change your clothing. Use them to your heart’s content!

How to Change Your Outfit in Skull and Bones

To change your outfit in Skull and Bones, select the option to change your clothing at the Vanity Atelier. You’ll have plenty of options, including:

  • Hats
  • Shirts
  • Pants
  • Coats
  • Belts
  • Eyepatches
  • Masks
  • Gloves

There’s honestly a lot to choose from, and much of it is unlockable via silver, which you’ll earn in-game by looting and selling goods to various merchants. It’s a nice change of pace, though the in-game cosmetics shop is still there if you want to spend actual money on the game.
