How Long Is Mortal Shell 2? Game Length & Total Hours

It’s been six years since the original Mortal Shell was released, and the sequel is looking to be bigger and better in every way possible. With more dungeons, a bigger world to explore, and plenty of weapons and Shells to experiment with, it’s likely that it will be a hefty undertaking to complete.

That said, the original took fans roughly 13 hours or so to complete, and it’s left many wondering if Mortal Shell 2 will be the same length or if it will be a longer affair. Thankfully, Insider Gaming has the answers, as we’ve uncovered how long it should take you to complete Mortal Shell 2, and fans should be excited.

According to the developers, it’s expected that a full playthrough of Mortal Shell 2 should take somewhere between 30 to 40 hours to complete.

Insider Gaming has learned of how long it should take to complete Mortal Shell 2, and the answer generally varies depending on your skill level, as well as your in-game gear and equipment.

Mortal Shell 2 boasts an open world that’s designed to respect the player’s time, so by those standards you shouldn’t have to spend a lot of time backtracking or travelling between locations. If you follow the main path, explore a few sub-areas and level up your character appropriately, expect your playthrough to last around 30 hours or so—roughly double that of the original!

How Long Is A Mortal Shell 2 Completionist Run?

As things stand, it’s not entirely clear how long it would take you to 100% Mortal Shell, though developers have seen playthroughs last upwards of 60 hours.

It wasn’t obvious whether that was due to players simply taking their time, struggling with bosses or because they were completing everything in sight, but there certainly seems to be enough content to keep you occupied past the basic playthrough.

Add to that the availability of New Game+ and Night Mode, which ramps up the difficulty but increases rewards, and there’s even more reason to keep playing once you roll credits.
